THE ROLE OF FOLKLORE IN THE FORMATION OF UZBEK LITERATURE

Abstract

This paper attempts to comprehensively analyse the role of folklore in the
formation of Uzbek literature. Using the methods of comparative-historical and cultural
analysis, the author explores the relationship between folklore motifs and literary works of
different epochs. On the basis of the study, conclusions are drawn on how folklore continues to influence modern Uzbek literature.
