THE SIGNIFICANCE OF "SHARH AL-MIFTAH" IN ARABIC RHETORIC

Abstract

This article explores Arabic rhetoric and its components: ilm al-bayan,
ilm al-ma'ani, and *ilm al-badi'. It delves into the historical development of these
disciplines and their significance in studying the oral and written heritage of our ancestors
and scholars. The article also includes works by prominent scholars such as Jurjani,
Zamakhshari,Taftazani, Sakkak, and Qazwini on Arabic rhetoric.
